Questions

How do you work out what my scooter is worth?

We look at every Buy It Now listing on eBay for your model today, in the condition you pick, and take the middle (median) price including postage. The range shown is the middle half of those listings. We don't buy scooters, so we have no reason to value it low.

Is this what my scooter will sell for?

It's what similar scooters are listed for, not what they sell for. Many listings are from dealers who service the scooter and add a warranty, so a private sale usually fetches less: price near the bottom of the range to sell quickly. Scooters with new batteries, the charger, keys, manual and a recent service sell for more.

What affects a used mobility scooter's value most?

The batteries (a scooter that needs new ones is worth £60–£350 less, depending on the type), the model and how it folds (auto-folding and lithium scooters hold value better), age, condition, and whether it comes with its charger and keys. Local demand matters too, because most scooters sell for collection.

Where can I sell my mobility scooter?

eBay (collection only is fine and reaches local buyers), local classified sites and Facebook groups, or a mobility dealer. Dealers pay less because they service and resell, but they'll collect and it's quick. Charities and community transport schemes sometimes take donations.
